How do I book a group course?

Please go to our Sign up now page and click on ‘Sign up now’ underneath the course to book and pay for your space on the day and at the level that’s best for you. The classes are ongoing so you can join anytime for a minimum of 10 weeks (1.5h of study a week) and continue for another 10 weeks after that!

Can I try your classes before I sign up!

Yes, you can! We organise trial classes for you to see what it’s like. We can also offer a video recording of our classes so you can watch and see if it’s for you!

Who do you teach?

Our students are adults (16+) – students, working professionals, mums and dads on parental leave, retired people, etc. We’re sure we can help YOU as well 🙂

What’s most important is that our groups are international and at the moment our students are from Poland, Spain, France, Italy and Mexico!

What is the minimum number of students on a course? Is there a maximum?

We require a minimum of 3 students to start any group class. In the unlikely event that we don’t have the minimal number at your level, we will delay the start of your course by a week or two maximum.

There is a maximum. Next to each type of course there is information about how big the groups can be. They rarely are at their full capacity 🙂 However, we do believe in communication between people so we want you to have enough classmates to practice your speaking with!

Do you organise any face to face classes?

No, we are a fully online school and only run classes remotely.

What if I have never studied online before?

Nothing to worry about! We’re here to help! We will guide you on how to use Zoom (the programme we use for our lessons) and any other tools that the teachers use for teaching.

Why should I choose online classes over face to face ones? I’ve heard they are not that effective…

That’s obviously up to your personal preference but we can assure you that the quality of classes we offer is the same (if not higher!) to any face to face (classroom) ones. They are convenient, easy to access and you can meet people from all around the world while studying. Isn’t that absolutely wonderful?

What time are the classes?

We are a school based in London so all our class times are given in GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) so the current time in the UK. Here’s a time converter where you can check what time that is in your country.

How do I know what level I am?

If you don’t know your level you can take our level test and the result will come shortly to your e-mail address. If you don’t understand the levels, you can search for the descriptions of them in your own language in Google or have a look at this document from the British Council website that describes your English skills at each level (A1-C2).

Can I receive a certificate?

Yes, you can receive an end of course certificate that will confirm the number of hours you have studied at the school, the course you have taken and the level you have achieved.

How much homework will I get?

You will get approximately one hour’s worth of homework per lesson, but in addition, we would recommend you invest a further 15 minutes of self study per day! This way you can progress much faster!

What happens if I find my class too easy or too difficult for me?

If at the end of your first lesson you find you’re really struggling to keep up or you’re finding the course content too easy then you can switch classes within the first two weeks of your course. Please speak to your teacher and contact us. We will review the situation and look to move you to a class more suited to your ability. If this is not possible, there are other options including starting your course again a bit later.

What if I want to practice more speaking?

Good news! We focus mainly on SPEAKING and natural communication in our classes!

What happens if I miss a lesson during the course?

We will email you a lesson summary explaining what was covered in the class (a PDF with class material) you missed and any homework. Unfortunately there are no refunds for missed classes.

What if my teacher is absent during the course?

If your teacher is absent during the course we will organise a cover teacher to take your lesson. If no cover teacher is available we will simply defer the lesson and extend the length of the course.

Can I get an invoice?

Yes! We are a business registered in the UK (a limited company) and we issue invoices, no problem. Just let us know beforehand what you need it to say!

What are the payment options?

We accept payments via PayPal (you don’t need an account, it’ll simply come out of your debit/credit card), a domestic transfer in the UK or an international transfer (fees may apply).
